  1. My Christian faith and love for God…I live my life so that people see God in me. But by the grace of God I am what I am – 1 Cor. 15:10  
  2. My favourite person is my husband Jason who I met in ‘92 when I was just 15 years old. We got married in Sept ‘96 and 25yrs later we’re still in love! We have 5 beautiful children aged 26, 25, 21, 18 and 17…Life is great! I am BLESSED!!
  3. My culture…No Ngati Porou ahau, te Tairawhiti. I am by no means fluent, but I continue my journey of instilling te reo Māori me ōna tikanga into my tamariki (children), my mokopuna (grandchildren) to come and now my tauira (students).
  4. Music…I have always loved to sing! My husband is an amazing musician and now we have the privilege of making music with our children. 
  5. Teaching…although I have only just (officially) begun this journey, I have always loved working with children. To see one child smile because I have helped them makes my day.
